Anthropic Recently Announced Claude for Small Businesses

May 20, 20261 min read

On May 13, Anthropic, the company that owns Claude Code, announced they have launched Claude for Small Business. It’s a package of connectors that includes 15 ready-to-run agentic workflows, embedding Claude inside of popular tools that small businesses already depend on.

Claude Code is an agentic coding system first launched in February 2025. Its initial terminal tool quickly gained massive adoption amongst major tech companies (e.g. Stripe and Ramp). The company then expanded its terminal tool to a non-technical version, called, Cowork, that allows AI assistants to autonomously manage files, do research and build spreadsheets. Perhaps best known in their offerings during recent months is Claude Design, which allows users to build polished visual products like prototypes, slide presentations and mockup designs just to name a few—all without code.

With the release of Claude Code for Small Business, the company states, “As part of our public benefit mission, we are committed to helping business owners harness AI more fully and effectively for their most important work.”

As mentioned the package leverages the use of software already important to small business owners, like Intuit Quickbooks, PayPal, Google, Canva and more. The system’s workflows cover areas across finance, operations, sales, marketing, Human Resources and customer services.

According to Daniela Amodei, the cofounder and president of Anthropic, “Small businesses make up nearly half the American economy but they’ve never had the resources of bigger companies. AI is the first technology that can close that gap, which is why we’re launching Claude for Small Business alongside training and partnerships to make sure AI shows up for the entrepreneurs who need it most,” said Amodei.

The connectors, skills and automation options are located here. Check out their pricing plans here.
